If you are lucky enough to live in the Concord California area you can celebrate on The Concord Taco Trail challenge is back for a second year with 37 taquerias tempting diners with regional Mexican specialties and long-held family recipes. It’s a Visit Concord promotion to remind residents of the city’s culinary riches, give a boost to family-owned restaurants — and hand out some prizes. Here’s how it works. From now through Oct. 15, sign up for a passport on the Concord Taco Trail website. There are links to all of the restaurant menus so you can plot your dining strategy. Then download the locator map (most participants are located in the Monument Boulevard, Willow Pass Road, Clayton Road and Todos Santos areas) and hit the trail. The more restaurants you visit the more points you amass toward gifts. And all pass holders are automatically entered into weekly drawings for gift cards, swag and the grand prize of a hotel stay.
